Markus grew up in Brooklyn NYC, where he began playing records in 1976 at the age of 14. Not only does Markus jam the music at the parties, he is also a well-known party promoter for "Destiny" at Tin Room in Brooklyn Heights (under the Brooklyn Bridge). After a four-year stint at Brooklyn's fabled 667 Bar*Gallery*Lounge, he helped create some world-renowned parties such as Expansions, BKNY & Rhythm Sunday. These parties grew rapidly due in part to Markus' promotional expertise, his loyal following and inviting personality.

Growing up during "Studio 54", "Bonds International", "The Loft", "Zanzibar" and "Paradise Garage" era has greatly influenced Markus’ taste in music, and is displayed every time he hits the turntables, with a contemporary blend of Vocal, Soulful, Deep House Music & Club Classics.
