Michèle Toro, a.k.a. “Michiewah”, is a New York City-based consultant and writer, and founder of Mishu Media. An Afro-Caribbean Nuyorican raised in the East Bronx, Michèle provides promotional and editorial consulting services. Her aim is to keep Mishu Media as a “boutique” venture, building a small yet strong group of clientele, taking a more personal interest in the development of their projects. As the former Associate Editor of Mía Magazine, a Latino lifestyle publication, Michèle has written various nightlife, music and literary reviews, as well as features and poetry. She has also collaborated with Sonny Sofrito, an event planner and promoter from Spanish Harlem, with the development of party venues catering to upscale Latino New Yorkers for over a decade. To date, Michèle hosted INDIGO with DJ Eman and DJ Spider, La India’s 2006 Halloween Masquerade Ball featuring guest DJ Louie Vega, EVOLVE NYC, EXPANSIONS, and NIGHT AT THE TRAC. Other collaborations include DJ/Producer Mr. Cubanix (Tampa), DJ Markus Rice (Brooklyn), KhaiMar Music, Rawcast Radio 920, Soul Culture UK, Blacktino.net, Good Peoples Entertainment, Lima Gue, 1200Dreams.com, Dirty Turk, Water Taxi Beach, and Audio Jazz.

Michèle is currently the Administrative Director of House Masons. She is committed to bringing forth the beauty of the arts in all forms, and to sharing in its collaborative force an accessible medium to be appreciated by people of all cultures.
